Our hotel has plenty of great features that we would love to share with you, however, there are a few things that we feel make our hotel in Gatlinburg unique. Here are 3 of the top things that we want you to know about The Appy Lodge.

We Have Goals Beyond Making Sure That You Have A Great Experience With Us

Our first priority when you stay with us is ensuring that you will enjoy your time as our guests. However, the local owners of our hotel in Gatlinburg created us to not only be a hotel, but a museum and a place of inspiration as well. Our property is filled with facts, photos and features that revolve around the Appalachian Trail. We want you to have a very unique experience with us and we hope that by being surrounded by the beauty and stories of the mountains, you’ll also be inspired to return to the Smokies and the Great Outdoors time after time. Our owner, David Ogle, said it best, “We hope that the taste we give you for the Appalachian Trail and the Smokies will whet your appetite for a lifetime of love of the Great Outdoors. If that happens, we’ve accomplished our goal.”

Home Away From Home

At The Appy, we have a beautiful building and great amenities. We everything that you could need from a hotel. However, time after time, we hear from our guests that the little things are what they loved the most during their stay with us. We have cozy fire pits for the chilly nights and cookies served every afternoon that you’ll perfect are a perfect snack after a good dip in the pool. We have local art in every corner, blankets for extra coziness and books available if you want to just relax by the fire. You may find guests working a puzzle in our lobby or browsing the onsite market for a snack or souvenir. Little Grandma will probably play a quick game of a peek a boo with your baby or listen to your children as they talk about their trip to the Smokies or Dollywood. We take great pride in being a place that you’ll want to return to, but our most prized quality is our ability to make our guests feel as though they have found their home away from home.

A Balancing Act

In life, one of the most important goals is to find a balance. A balance between work and play, a healthy diet and delicious treats or just time for you and time for others. We believe that your time on vacation should be no different, certainly more fun mixed in but still a balance. When putting together blogs that we think you’ll find helpful or social media posts, we try to equally share ways to enjoy the fun of downtown Gatlinburg with time in the national park. Our hotel was created to encourage a love of the outdoors and to give you an experience focused on the outdoors, but yet also provide the comfort of a cozy lodge. You’ll find healthy yogurt, granola, fruit and more for breakfast, yet cookies in the afternoon. Even our location is a great balance of being in Gatlinburg but not in the center of downtown. We’re on the quiet end near the Gatlinburg spur. A location that also makes it very easy for you to conveniently experience Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park within less than 10 minutes.

If you’re looking for a hotel in Gatlinburg that will not only leave you with a great guest experience but also with a warm heart, a sense of a well rounded and balanced vacation and inspired to get outside and play – our hotel is the place for your next trip to the Smokies!
