Each morning at The Appy Lodge, guests can start their day off right with a cold continental breakfast. However, being on vacation is a great excuse to follow up breakfast with a delicious brunch at one of Gatlinburg’s fantastic restaurants! Our Smoky Mountain city is world-famous for its pancake houses and brunch spots. To help you make the most of your next getaway, we have put together a guide to the top three places to have brunch in Gatlinburg.

1. Crockett’s Breakfast CampThe entrance to Crockett's Breakfast Camp in Gatlinburg.

Crockett’s Breakfast Camp is one of the most-buzzed-about restaurants in Gatlinburg! Situated right on the Parkway, this unique eatery boasts an old-fashioned mountain camp atmosphere and some of the very best food you’ll ever eat. The restaurant takes its name from David C. “Crockett” Maples, a 19th-century frontiersman who didn’t let the loss of both his legs stop him from living an active and fulfilling life.

The most beloved dish at Crockett’s Breakfast Camp is undoubtedly the pancakes (a.k.a. “griddle cakes”). Cooked to be over an inch thick, these legendary pancakes are extra large and delightfully fluffy. Crockett’s griddle cakes can be enjoyed with a variety of toppings, including fresh blueberries, chocolate chips, Southern pecans, candied apples, and strawberry compote.

In addition to its wonderful pancakes, Crockett’s serves all of your other brunch favorites. Highlights of the menu include the giant cinnamon rolls, cathead biscuit stackers, corned beef hash, country ham, and eggs benedict. When you eat at Crockett’s, be sure to come hungry because the portions are enormous!

Guests will find a variety of flapjack flavors to choose from, including Sticky Bun, Reese’s Peanut Butter + Chocolate Chip, Multigrain + Nuts, and Mixed Berries.

If you’re in the mood for something other than pancakes, you can order one of Flapjack’s delicious egg platters, omelets, campfire skillets, waffles, or French toast. Flapjack’s also boasts a great selection of sandwiches and burgers, if you’re craving lunch items.

3. Old Dad’s General StoreOld Dad's General Store in Gatlinburg TN.

Anyone looking for a quick grab-and-go brunch should head over to Old Dad’s. This popular general store and deli offers a great selection of breakfast biscuits and breakfast sandwiches. A few of our favorite items include the Bologna, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Country Ham Biscuit, and the Breakfast Club Sandwich. All of Old Dad’s sandwiches can be ordered on white toast, wheat toast, a tortilla wrap, or a bagel. Old Dad’s is especially convenient for visitors planning a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, as it is located minutes away from the park’s entrance.
